Earning and maintaining the CCP is a three-part process. Candidates must first submit an application. The next step is to take and pass the CCP exam. Once you have earned the certification, you must maintain it by fulfilling certification renewal requirements every three years.

Exam Application

There are no prerequisites for the CCP exam, however we do recommend 1-3 years of experience. When filling out the application you must read and agree to uphold the candidate agreement. You will also need to provide a current headshot to use for your badge photo. Because our exams are tied to individuals, not companies or organizations, we recommend using a personal email when applying for the exam.

To apply for the CCP exam, a fee of $499 for NCSG members or $699 for non-members must be submitted with your application. Find out more about fees and what the application process looks like.

The Exam

The CCP exam is available online anytime and in person on select dates. Find out more about in-person exam dates and locations, exam content, and what to expect on exam day.

  • 16 Technical
  • 8 Codes & Standards

Renewal fees are $299 + 36 CEUs for members and $499 + 36 CEUs for non-members. If you wish you retake the exam, you will need to pay the full exam fee.
