Why Chimney Professional Certifications?

The purpose of Chimney Professional Certifications is simple: create a certification program for NCSG members to demonstrate the qualifications of their peers and employees. By earning and maintaining the Certified Chimney Professional (CCP), Certified Chimney Reliner (CCR), and Certified Chimney Journeyman (CCJ), chimney sweeps certify to their employers, customers, and industry that they meet the highest possible standard as a chimney professional.

The NCSG offers the only ANAB-accredited certifications in the industry. Having a reputable third-party accreditation is necessary for credibility, protects the customer's investment, and offers reassurance that there is independent oversight.

What makes the NCSG exams and content outlines unique is that they were developed transparently with the industry. The NCSG collected input of nearly 600 practiced chimney professionals and countless hours of hard work by volunteer members. Chimney Professionals was developed, owned, and operated by you — NCSG members.

The NCSG Certification Committee does not require, provide, approve, accredit, recommend, or endorse any specific educational programs, courses, study guides, review materials, or other examination preparation products.
