Once you have earned your Certified Chimney Reliner (CCR) certification, you must maintain it by fulfilling certification renewal requirements every three years.

Renewal Requirements

CCRs maintain their knowledge and certification by earning 36 continuing education units (CEUs) or retaking the exam every three years.

  • 18 Technical
  • 6 Codes & Standards
  • 6 Safety
  • 6 Elective (any category including business)

Renewal fees are $299 + 36 CEUs for members and $499 + 36 CEUs for non-members. If you wish you retake the exam, you will need to pay the full exam fee.

Process for Renewal

You are able to renew your CCR certification any time within the third year of your certification as long as the CEU requirements have been fulfilled.

  1. Log in to your Prolydian Profile
  2. Click on Credentials then My Certifications
  3. Click on your certification
  4. This opens up your certification dashboard where you can see your CEU totals, the list of classes you have taken, the expiration date of your certification, etc.
  5. If your CEU requirements are complete, you will be able to see the Renew button. This links to the renewal application that you will need to fill out.
  6. Once your application is complete, the NCSG office will verify that everything is correct.
  7. You will receive an email with the results of your recertification.
  8. If you are re-certified, you will receive an updated badge in the mail within one month of your recertification.
